Coming to the end of November and seeing the start of December now, and a couple of new things to update on..
Most recently: Some new work completed in Glasgow on behalf of one of my London based clients; also a shoot at a new hotel development here in Aberdeen; and some new artwork for a client arriving!
So, first off, unfortunately my shoot in Glasgow is under wraps, as it is for a client whose media presence is tightly controlled, so I'm unable to disclose any info on that one !
Next up, is the new hotel shoot in Aberdeen, for the newly opened Moxy Hotel at Dyce, by Aberdeen Airport. This new hotel brand is a collaboration between parts of Marriott, the owners of Ikea, and some other parties. What results is a funky, fun, modern and very refreshing angle on the traditional city centre or airport hotel model.
The design elements and styling inside the hotel is just great, with bright, bold colours, individual design furniture pieces, and a relaxed atmosphere with the traveller in mind. I will be posting some new images from this shoot soon, but in the mean time here is a small view of part of the property.
Lastly, the new art-piece that I received. This is a new style of piece for me, and something I thought I would try with some images made recently. It consists of an original photo-print made on Kodak Endura paper which is sealed onto a special aluminium backing, and then sealed with an ultra-thin lamination to protect the image. This is then fixed inside a wooden box-frame to provide a surround and make hanging the piece super easy, due to the light-weight and rigidity of the finished piece.
The finished quality is superb, and I'm sure the client will be most pleased. I am intending on trying out some other images with this method of display shortly too. Don't forget, if you're interested in any prints etc of my Landscape images, please get in touch to discuss the details!
Thanks for reading, more soon.
