Short trip to Edinburgh - Houzz & David Bailey

Just been away for a coupe of days to Edinburgh on a short break which was a lot of fun.

While I was there I attended an evening function by Houzz UK, and hosted by paint and wallpaper manufacturers Farrow & Ball at their Stockbridge showroom.

This was the first such evening hosted in Scotland by Houzz and was designed to introduce professionals to Houzz and also give existing members a chance to meet and network. Some lovely food and drinks made the conversation easy and after a presentation from Houzz UK questions and discussions followed.

We also attended the National Gallery to visit the amazing David Bailey exhibition 'Stardust'.

A short excerpt from the guide tells you what to expect:

Bailey's extraordinary exhibition demonstrates the breadth of his work, encompassing iconic portraits, defining images of London's East End, and global photography. The exhibition has been curated by Bailey and its installation in Scotland is being directed by him.

The number of works on display is truly impressive, along with numerous personal items from Bailey's life and work. It is a fantastic collection of entertaining, interesting and thought provoking images taken by one of the all time greats of photography - thoroughly recommend visiting before it's too late!
