Recently, one of my current clients, contacted me to discuss providing a few more pieces of artwork for their property in Aberdeen, and I'm pleased to say that they have again chosen some of my landscape images to display.
Due to the nature of the request and where the pieces were to be located I had to find a solution to a problem:
This being, what kind of framing and display could I get that would suit being almost 4' x 2.5' in size, and still be suitable and light enough to be hung from a wall mounted 47" LED TV ?!
The answer I found was a hard-wood style framing with the image then printed onto a sheet of aluminium with a compressed foam core backing and mounted flush, which gives a stunning edge to edge image with the hard-wood frame border being only 4mm thick, and best of all it only weighed in at around 2.5kg !
It certainly gives a great effect, and best of all, the framing sits so well on the TV's that you wouldn't know there was a television there at all. Definitely a very nice solution for people who have large wall mounted TV's and perhaps don't want to have a huge black rectangle on the wall when they have guests over etc, and would prefer a nice landscape, or other image, to display when the TV is not being used.
